LED lighting retrofits for warehouses, factories, and industrial facilities deliver the fastest return on investment of any energy efficiency improvement available today. Replacing outdated metal halide, high-pressure sodium, and fluorescent fixtures with modern LED technology reduces energy consumption by 50 to 70 percent, eliminates frequent lamp and ballast replacements, and delivers better light quality to the work floor. Unity Power & Light provides complete LED retrofit services for industrial facilities throughout Aiken, SC -- from initial energy audit through installation, utility rebate processing, and proper disposal of old fixtures.
Most industrial LED retrofits pay for themselves in energy savings within two to four years. When utility rebates are factored in, payback periods under two years are common. After payback, the energy savings continue for the 50,000 to 100,000-hour lifespan of the LED fixtures -- effectively putting money back into your operating budget every month for a decade or more.
Our LED Retrofit Process
Energy Audit
We survey every fixture in your facility, document the type, wattage, and operating hours, and calculate your current lighting energy consumption. This audit is provided at no cost and gives you the baseline for calculating savings.
Lighting Design & ROI Analysis
We specify the LED replacements for each fixture type, calculate the energy savings, factor in available utility rebates, and present a clear ROI analysis showing payback period and annual savings. You see the full financial picture before making any commitment.
Utility Rebate Processing
We identify available rebate programs, ensure all fixture specifications meet program requirements, prepare the application paperwork, and submit it on your behalf. Rebates typically reduce project costs by 15 to 30 percent.
Installation
Our crew replaces fixtures systematically, working section by section to minimize disruption. We can work during operating hours, after hours, or on weekends depending on your operational requirements. A typical high-bay replacement takes 15 to 30 minutes per fixture.
Disposal & Documentation
We remove and properly dispose of all old fixtures and lamps, including mercury-containing fluorescent tubes that require special handling. You receive documentation of the completed installation for your records and for utility rebate verification.
Fixture Types
LED High-Bay
Replacement for metal halide and HPS high-bay fixtures in warehouse aisles, manufacturing floors, and large open areas with ceiling heights above 15 feet. Available in round (UFO) and linear configurations. 150W to 240W LED replaces 400W to 1000W HID fixtures while delivering equal or better light to the floor.
LED Linear
Replacement for fluorescent T8 and T12 fixtures in offices, break rooms, processing areas, and low-ceiling spaces. Available as complete fixture replacements or retrofit kits that use existing fixture housings. 40W to 50W LED replaces 112W four-lamp fluorescent fixtures.
LED Vapor Tight
For wet, dusty, or corrosive environments -- wash-down areas, food processing, outdoor covered areas, and parking garages. Sealed enclosures protect the LED driver and lamp from moisture and contaminants while providing bright, efficient illumination.
LED Exterior & Area
Replacement for HPS and metal halide wall packs, flood lights, and area lights on building exteriors, loading docks, and parking areas. LED area lights provide better color rendering, instant-on operation, and 50 to 70 percent energy reduction.
Why DLC Listing Matters
We specify DLC (DesignLights Consortium) listed fixtures for every project. DLC listing is an independent verification that the LED fixture meets specific performance, quality, and efficiency standards. DLC-listed fixtures are tested by accredited laboratories and must meet minimum requirements for lumen output, efficacy (lumens per watt), color quality, and warranty coverage.
DLC listing is also required for most utility rebate programs. Using non-DLC fixtures may disqualify your project from rebates, and it introduces quality risk -- uncertified fixtures may not deliver the performance they claim and may fail prematurely.
